Preparing for power cuts
You should prepare for power cuts in advance, especially if you live with elderly people or young children.
At home or your cottage, store at least these provisions in a place that is easy to find:
- torch and batteries
- spare fuses
- candles and matches
- battery-operated radio/car radio
- firewood if you have a fireplace
- drinking water
- mobile phone power supply
If you wish to ensure uninterrupted power supply, for example for a computer or another sensitive device, equip the device with a reserve power system, such as UPS.
If uninterrupted electricity supply is critical, you should consider purchasing your own reserve power system. For example, aggregation unit or tractor generators are suitable for farm use.
