Caruna to reform its management system
Electricity distribution company Caruna is reforming its organisation and the management team to better meet its strategy, which was updated in 2017. The key changes concern the development and operation of Caruna’s grid, and company's communications and public affairs management.
Seeking to improve effectiveness, Caruna will have fewer members in its management team. The new management team begins work today, on 22 September 2017.
“It is time to take the next step in Caruna’s business operations, and this has required a reconfiguration of our management system. To implement this change, I have reformed the management team, made other changes at the management level, and combined functions to enable us to achieve better efficiencies in operations,” said Caruna’s CEO Tomi Yli-Kyyny, who took office in May 2017.
Asset Management and Network Operations will be combined to form a new Electrical Networks Unit. CEO Tomi Yli-Kyyny will act as the temporary head of the unit.
Tekir’s Chairman of the Board Harri Saukkomaa will join Caruna as Head of Communications and Public Affairs on a temporary and part-time basis. During his appointment, Mr Saukkomaa will contribute to the work of Caruna Management Team. Caruna’s current Head of Communications Henna Tuominen will be responsible for the Communications Unit, while Head of Regulation and Revenue Riikka Hirvisalo-Oja will lead the Public Affairs Unit. Both will be reporting to Mr Saukkomaa
