Electricity-guzzlers at home are found surprisingly close

In addition to heating and domestic water heating, the biggest electricity-guzzlers in the home are the sauna, underfloor heating in bathrooms, kitchen appliances and home entertainment equipment.

You can save electricity in many ways. Here are our tips:

  • Check that the fuses match your consumption. Excessive fuse size is unnecessarily reflected in your electricity distribution fee. You can get help with the sizing from your own electricity contractor.
  • Try lowering the room temperature by one degree.
  • Do not heat the whole house with the bathroom underfloor heating, but close the bathroom door.
  • Guide your energy consumption to the cheaper hours with Caruna's load control service. If you are using e.g. an accumulating heating system, the rate of the Night-time distribution product is lower at night.
