Does cabling really reduce power cuts?

The positive effects of cabling can be seen on our electricity network. Network service fees have improved the reliability of power supply significantly.

During storm Tapani in 2011, over 220,000 of our customers were without electricity. Much work has been done towards a weatherproof electricity network since storm Tapani, and the results can be seen: the strong storm Aila in September 2020 impacted the electricity supply of approximately 80,000 customers. The investments have thus improved electricity distribution reliability.

A lot of work remains to be done for years to come, even up to the 2030s.
